The farm is committed to being accessible to everyone and has disabled parking bays by the main entrance, ramps into the main building, and a new toilet block with wheelchair and pushchair friendly double size cubicles.
The cafe and picnic area are on one level, apart from one seating area accessed via a ramp. Accessibility to the farm animals includes ramps and slopes, and no part is inaccessible to wheelchairs/pushchairs. The pathways around the farm are smooth, although on a slight slope.
The farm has great links with several local schools for the disabled and children with special needs, such as autism, who visit weekly. It also works closely with several local care homes to provide rewarding experiences. For example, an elderly gentleman with dementia who recently visited spent a couple of happy hours looking at the cows as it reminded him of when he milked cows for a living.
In 2008,I bought some land and began transforming the empty field into my vision - an affordable farm experience that is ethical,
educative, enthralling and entertaining for children and adults alike.
The farm is relatively new and still expanding, but already provides a great day out to nearly 75k visitors annually.
As a family man of three young and very energetic children, I truly identify with what parents need when looking for a day out.
I am committed to making the experience enjoyable and memorable for everyone and we are always listening to visitors and constantly
developing the farm to meet their needs.
The visitor really is at the heart of the business, and many regularly return because of its two biggest
USPs - offering great value for money and having everything needed for a fun family day out all on site.
Entrance is just £4 with under 2's free, and no on/off peak pricing structure. This is considerably lower than similar
attractions offering the same facilities and important to Mini Meadows Farm - helping to fulfill its commitment to making
the farming experience accessible to everyone by ensuring price is not the barrier.
There is an entrance charge for all visitors.
